Fan Summit

With nothing appearing on the police blotter, it appears that the first annual Habs Inside/Out Fan Summit was a rousing success. I'll put together a few more thoughts on Saturday's event in the next day or so – thanks to all for making this a wonderful success – but for now, you'll find coverage here:

When we first started talking back in July about getting together for a game, I put up HabsFanSummit.com to handle the logistics.

I added a countdown timer to the website, and it started counting down from 88 days. At the time, 88 days seemed like it might as well be forever. Well, now the timer is reading in mere hours and minutes – the first annual Habs Fan Summit is happening today!

Hi everyone. We're just a few short days away from the first annual Habs Fan Summit on Oct. 20, and I just wanted to send out an update to everyone who's attending, and an invitation to everyone who has not decided to take part yet.

Regular visitors to Habs Inside/Out will have seen an idea take wonderful shape in recent days: many of our site's visitors are organizing a trip to the Bell Centre for the Oct. 20 game between the Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres, with a Bell Centre tour, meals and refreshments along the way.

Jay in PA has undertaken much of the organization, including establishing a website to keep participants informed as the event approaches. Below is Jay's note to kick off the site. Looking forward to seeing many of you there!
