Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinal between the Canadiens and Flyers goes Wednesday night in Philadelphia and Montreal will look to bounce back after falling behind 2-1 in the series after a 3-2 loss on Monday night.
Rookie goaltender Carey Price was replaced by Jaroslav Halak in the third period of Game 3 after Price allowed three goals on 12 shots through two periods. The 20-year-old has had some rough games lately and might or might not get the chance to bounce back in Game 4. That is because head coach Guy Carbonneau won't announce who his starting goaltender is until moments before the puck drops.
Here's a look at what's being said about Wednesday's game:

Well tonight is the night for payback and switching the whole series around. I hope everyone comes through tonight. Play Habs hockey not catchup hockey like we didn in the first 3 games. Its time for Habs to step it up a notch, and Kovy should step up and be the Man like he was in the most important games this year. We already know how to dominate flyers and beat Biron, now they just have to shoot between the posts and make it happen. We absolutely cannot lose tonight...

Well looks like they did not get the story righ on ESPN Radio...
Sean Avery has a lacerated spleen and will be out the remainder of the season, sources tell TSN.
The source went on to say that the laceration was detected with a CT scan after Avery was taken to hospital following the Game 3 with the Penguins.
A story in the New York Daily News cited an unnamed source who said the 28-year-old winger was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center unconscious and not breathing.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The New York Daily News is reporting New York Ranger Sean Avery was rushed to a Manhattan hospital Wednesday in cardiac arrest just hours after the team's loss.
Avery, 28, arrived at St. Vincent's Medical Center about 3 a.m., according to the report.
The Rangers had just lost 5-3 a short time earlier in the Stanley Cup playoffs against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Madison Square Garden.
Avery, was traded to the Rangers last year from Los Angeles, and lives in Manhattan.

a lot of paybacks due tonight...
the sucker punch to Halaks face.
the slew footing of Price
the COWARDICE hit from behind that should've earned a 78 game suspension for HATCHET
time to collect boys.
I want to see HATCHET nailed like a cheesesteak sandwhich...just like what we did to CHARA....HATCHET must be neutralized...along with that smug faced idiot Hartnell and the dummy downie...and all the other whinny gooons.
damn Ryder and Stewart should be in there just to knock some heads around...
Prof... I'd love to see Habs get 3-4 goal lead and then just shred the goons. If I were Bouillon I'd deliver one of my most devastating hits on Briere.... send him to lala land until next October. I'd like to see the boys make hamburger out of Umberger..... little faking twit! next time he won't be faking it! What can I say about Hartnell, young Frankenstein himself.... make him one with the boards. Hatcher.... yes! high on the list of guys to take out.... he'd look good with a sherwood up his arse begging for Habs mercy!
You have to go back to Price. He is an elite talent that we all know has the ability to steal a game. He has proved this on multiple occasions at the NHL level this year and on countless occasions at lower levels throughout his career.
I don't want to compare him to the great habs goalies of the past and can't speak to specifics, but I'm pretty damn sure that Roy and Dryden had bad stretches at times. I remember Roy being very average in the 1st 2 games in the Quebec series in 93. Granted he wasn't 20 at the time and there was never a consideration to replace him. I'm sure that in 86 he struggled at some points throughout that playoff run. Didn't the Whalers bring us to the brink that year only to lose on a Claude Lemieux ot goal? There's no way that Patty stood on his head for the whole cup run. He did however show up when it mattered most. Carey will do the same...it's in his DNA.
Sorry EBK, the other side of the coin are teams like:
OTT - Stillman, Commadore, Lapointe
SAN Jose - Campbell
AVS - Forsberg, Foote
Washington - Huet, Fedorov, Cooke (but they weren't in the playoffs prior to deadline so not as significant as the others)
I for one hope Price starts tonight. And I for one hope Price starts every game from here to the end of the run.
The armchair critics on this site (and there are certainly many who do nothing but criticize) have had a field day because the Flyers have won two games, seemingly the fault of Carey Price. How easy for you critics, eh? The truth is that our goaltending has had little support the last two games from our offence, and we have defencemen trying to be goaltenders. Seems some of our "D" think we need two guys in the net. Too bad our forwards don't feel like joining the goaltender at the other end of the rink in sharing his space.
I hope the Habs, with Price in net, come out tonight and destroy the Flyers. I hope the Habs, with Price in net, come out and take the rest of this series.
I like nothing better than coming here to witness some of you guys eating a huge serving of crow (at least those of you who do show up for your dinner, there are those who don't have the guts to show up)....Go Habs! Go Carey! Stick it right up...............
I agree 110%. What exactly does it accomplish by bashing a twenty year old goalie. One who has helped us get to where we are.
The one thing I find amazing about Habs fans, they can turn on a dime. One night you're the second coming of Christ, the next, Beelzebub himself.
Whatever comes of these playoffs, I'm happier than a pig in...you know what. Everything that happens in the playoffs to the young guys is a treasure trove of experiences.
Maybe, just maybe they wont get to the finals. They weren't even supposed to be here in the first place. I'll applaud them win or lose.
That being said, watch all the people climbing back on the Canadiens express after tonights win. It'll be hilarious.

I realy don't care who is in and who is out of the lineup tonight and quite frankly it realy makes absolutely zero difference and will have zero effect on this game !!!
The ONLY thing that matters here is that each and every guy on the ice at each and every moment is showing us that he is willing to pay the price and WIN THAT LITTLE BATTLE...each and every guy, EACH AND EVERY LITTLE BATTLE FOR THE PUCK and anyone who doesn't should be IMMEDIATELY BENCHED !
All the lineup talk is just stupid !!!
Noone cares about anything except that we WIN !!!
I also noticed a lot less happy habs Flags flying out of car windows this morning on my way to work!
We gotta lot of "BANDWAGON" fans that HOP ON AND HOP OFF, and i realy don't care about em, apparently these are the ones buying the flags
If I put one up it'll be cause I believe in this team always and i would neverput one up just when they win take it down when they lose and besides all that at $20 bucks a pop minimum, my car needs another shutout from WHOEVER and a lot more convincing from the forwards !!!

by the way
I just wanted to clear this up as someone mentioned it and asked me...
The Picture I am using is circa 1969. During the playoffs that year Pat Quinn labeled Bobby Orr {half his size} with a real dirty check that hurt Orr.
That Pic is what happened in the following period!!!
Orr beat the crap outta Quinn and Noone in the league ever bothered Orr again !!!

GH - I'n confused. Are we talking about Boston vs Toronto? Because if we are, then I remember it as being a very clean hip check near centre ice. The Boston fans went crazy (as expected) but I didn't see it as being "a real dirty check". It's all open to interpretation of course. The Laffs lost 9-0 or 10-0, a real blowout. I think former Boston goalie Don Simmons was in net. What I really remember about that game was how Forbes Kennedy (of the Leafs) lost his mind. He was in numerous fights and received every penalty in the book - fighting majors, misconducts, game misconducts, and a gross misconduct for punching out a linesman. Never played another game in the NHL. What a great game - I miss the good old days.
Habs Inside/Out encourages lively debate, but there is a zero-tolerance policy regarding racism, profanity and behaviour that we deem to be offensive. We will, without warning, ban those who do not abide by this simple rule, so as to maximize the enjoyment of readers and participants of both sexes and all ages.

anyone else notice that the teams leading their series to date all made significant moves at the deadline.
Pittsburgh-Marian Hossa
Dallas-Brad Richards
Philly-Vinnie Prospal, Modry
Detroit-Brad Stuart (ok, not quite a signifacant as the others)

One thing I've wondered about these 'Critics' for a while now, would they prefer;
a) For the Habs to come back and prove them wrong.
b) For the Habs to flop and prove them right.
One thing is certain though, very few of them will wholeheartedly admit to their erroneous judgements if scenario 'a' plays itself out.
I really really hope it would be choice 'a'.
If I was a fair-weather fan, I'd LOVE to be proven wrong after ranting. Eating crow can be very tasty after a win.
