Martin Biron stole the show on Saturday night as the Philadelphia Flyers downed the Canadiens 4-2 to tie the Eastern Conference semifinal series 1-1.
R.J. Umberger scored twice for the Flyers, while Daniel Brière and Jeff Carter also scored for Philadelphia as they made the most of their chances against Carey Price.
The Canadiens dominated on the shot clock, but Biron came up big when he needed to in this one.
Here's a look at what's being said about Saturday's game:

Don't get me wrong, I think Cary is the man, and he will bounce back.
And I think we should stick with him to the end, whatever this end is going to be (25) but...
if we lose 2 straight in Phily, or under what scenario do you think we will see Halak between the pipes?
Again, I think I am wrong but just curious, when people will start to panic and jump the ship?
By the way, you have to love Carey. I love the way he talks about the goals he let it, especially after losses! Still very calm, explains how and what he saw etc. I don't know a lot of goalies do that. I did hear Marty talk like that, but not in the play offs.
Anyway, best of luck to all the HABS and I hope there will be good number of Habs fans in Phily!
Go Habs Go!
HugeHabsFan, the Maria Sousa article is by Amy Luft "Granny meets her goal."
Mr. Stubbs, nicely done - "Wary Montreal police were so busy patrolling the city, they missed the grand larceny being committed inside the hockey arena." I got a chuckle out of that. Its choice ones like that that they pay you the big bucks for.

Thanks Bill!
...I knew that I knew the name Maria Sousa, just couldn't remember where I had heard it. I have to say, Saku Koivu and his wife are amazing people.

Up late, posting early for Mio.
1.7 million page views for the month. (Even if I account for half a mil lol)
INCREDIBLE!
P.S. I love Hanna Koivu's comment at the end of the Maria Sousa article :)
"One face-off, one battle, one shift, one period, one game, one series at a time."
"Are the Habs ready to pay the Price?"
WOW. I wonder how many mattresses and Benzes have been sold as a result of that little ad in the corner?
1. www.flickeringpictures.com - not a hockey site, but still kinda neat
2. Josh Gorges on Montreal's attack: "They're comin', they're comin' and they keep comin'. Just line after line, wave after wave..."

Not quite Boing Boing or Engadget stats... But on par with some of the biggest progressive Blogs in the US. Something that many other news sites (nevermind sports sites) have been unable to replicate.
Kudos to HIO!

About Kevin Mio is a Montreal Gazette editor who grew up playing hockey, watching the Canadiens every chance he could on television and reading articles about the team by some of the people he works with today. He still remembers going to the Forum with his father to watch the Canadiens and was even fortunate enough to skate on Forum ice with his minor hockey team.
From Mats Naslund to Saku Koivu, he has always enjoyed watching the small, speedy and skilled players, while also admiring the gritty players that are essential to any team’s success.
From his one-on-one interviews with members of the team to a look at other coverage of the Canadiens, he will keep fans posted on their favourite team and looks forward to sharing his love of hockey with other passionate fans.
